Ülkemiz Yunanistan ekonomik krize rağmen silah alımına devam ediyor. Yunanistan Savunma Bakanı Evangelos Venizelos, gelecek 15 yıl içerisinde silahlanmayı 40% azaltacaklarını belirtti. Venizelos, “silah alımını gelecek 15 yıl içerisinde 40% azaltacağız, ancak Yunan Silahlı Kuvvetleri’nin gücünü arttıracağız. TROıKA ülkenin Savunma planlanmasının komiseri olmayacak. Mali egemenlik başka, toprak ve ulusal güvenlik egemenliği başkadır. Mali egemenlik sorunumuz var diye bu demek değildir ki milli egemenlikten feragat ediyoruz. Mali kriz meselesi olabilir, ancak milli savunma konularında kararlar üçüncü kişilere teslim edilemez. ” dedi.
